Showdown in the Downtown 2016 presents an opportunity to help children and families. On Saturday September 24, 2016, a very special fundraising concert featuring bands The Skydiggers and Newport Electric with proceeds benefiting The Mary J. Wright Research and Education Centre at Merrymount, The Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Program and the Renal Patient Assistance Fund at London Health Sciences Centre.
